Crochet Courses
Cathy teaches her selection of crochet courses for adults in venues in London, Brighton, and at her Hove Studio. Classes cover crochet skills from the very beginning, and take you on a journey from first stitches to designing and making your very own personalised sweater. Bookable in separate blocks depending on your level, you can take your crochet journey at your own pace with the following courses.

During the course, we will learn new stitches and effects, as well as grow in confidence reading patterns, making adjustments to our projects, and building up our applied crochet knowledge. Suitable for those who have completed Crochet Fundamentals or who have learnt the basics elsewhere.

12 weeks to utilise all your lovely crochet experience and focus on designing your very first garment. Design a swatch in a pattern of your choosing, and Cathy will help you to turn it into a sweater, based on the measurements of something already in your wardrobe. We’ll cover calculating stitches, finishing, joining, trims, and have lots of supported making time.

Develop your textile language through freeform crochet. A creative course exploring texture, composition, and expressive making. In the first few sessions, we will experiment under Cathy’s guidance, and as the course goes on, we will evaluate the forms we are drawn to making and will compose them into a cohesive work. Cathy will guide you through developing your piece into a wall hanging, considering balance, composition, and flow.
